Thesis resume
The work of this thesis has concerned investigations in quantum cosmology within
Loop quantum gravity. We have first studied transition amplitudes between
two boundary spin networks with dipole graph, provided by the Lorentzian EPRL
model with 2 non-simplicial vertices
extending the previous investigations done for the single vertex case [44, 60]. A systematic evaluation of
these transition amplitudes has been addressed, discussing integrability and relevance for actual physical processes, identifying which of them were relevant for
physical processes. Large spin scaling
behaviour and correlations between initial and final boundary has been extimate
analytically for a simplified model and numerically for the complete one, finding that
the contributions of different graphs can be organised according
to their scaling behaviour within a hierarchy that is preserved also at small spins and well captured already by a simplified model we have introduced. The leading term
in the large spin limit has vanishing correlations between initial and final states and
next to the leading ones carry interesting non gaussian correlations, even though no
non trivial SU(2) symbol is found. Furthermore, a decaying correlation for a decreasing immirzi parameter is observed, as we expected when leaving the deep quantum regime. Finally, we have switched to the FLRW coherent basis, discussing also Hartle-Hawking like amplitudes
observing that the semiclassical limit is preserved also for a refining of the BRV model: the one associated to a complex made by three edges and two vertices (DE foam).
Next, cosmological effective dynamics in Quantum reduced loop gravity has been addressed by means of a new
regularization scheme based on states prepared in a quantum superposition of graphs.
New effective hamiltonians has been computed first showing that previous regularization schemes introduced in loop quantum cosmology (LQC) can be obtained within this new one and then extending the domain of validity of our scheme to the non isotropic (Bianchi I) case. For the isotropic case, the new effective hamiltonian generates a dynamics that is different from
the one provided by LQC: the symmetrical bounce scenario is replaced by an
evolution that is quasi stationary in the pre-bounce phase and then agrees with the
LQC one, supporting the conjecture for the emergent bouncing universe to be a
general feature of the isotropic sector of QRLG. Curiously, we have found that the
dynamics associated to the isotropic limit of the QRLG Bianchi I effective hamiltonian
consists in an accelerated non Friedmannian phase for early times like the one found
in [97], a fact that deserves more investigations in the near future.
