The Doctoral education directorate (DED) is the administrative structure for implementing the doctoral education policy defined by the Collège doctoral (DC).

The DED is an AMU central service under the responsibility of an administrative director.

Its missions are:

  • Harmonize the operating practices of the 12 doctoral schools (DS) ;
  • Coordinate the administrative management of the doctorate and animate the networks of DS assistants and managers in charge of the doctorate degree registration office ;
  • Prepare, monitor and control the execution of the doctoral education budget ;
  • Provide a clear and effective platform for interdisciplinary and professional training and career development support for doctoral candidates; 
  • Set up and ensure the monitoring of the doctoral education piloting indicators ;
  • Organize and animate events and actions related to the doctorate.
