Ce travail sur la Chronique de Georges le Moine se concentre sur l'avant-propos, le livre I et des extraits des livres II à VI dans lesquels les personnages principaux du livre I sont à nouveau traités.
Une première partie est consacrée au texte grec et à sa traduction. Il ne s'agit pas d'une édition à nouveaux frais, mais de la reprise, avec son aimable autorisation, de l'édition inédite de feu Dmitry Afinogenov, qui était à même de cerner les apports de la Lĕtovnik vis-à-vis du Coislin 305 (P). Cette édition est ici accompagnée d'un apparat critique comparant principalement le manuscrit P et l'édition De Boor, ainsi que d'une traduction en français.
Une seconde partie présente un commentaire de l'avant-propos dans sa globalité, puis des principaux personnages du livre I par ordre d'apparition. L'étude des différents passages est principalement consacrée au traitement des personnages et à la question des sources dans les livres I à VI.

This work on the Chronicle of George the Monk focuses on the foreword, book I and extracts from books II to VI in which the main characters of book I are dealt with again.
The first part is devoted to the Greek text and its translation. This is not a brand new edition, but a reworking, with his kind permission, of the unpublished edition of the late Dmitry Afinogenov, who was able to identify the contributions of the Lĕtovnik to the Coislin 305 (P). This edition is accompanied here by a critical apparatus comparing mainly the P manuscript and De Boor's edition, and by a French translation.
A second part presents a commentary of the foreword as a whole, then of the main characters of book I in order of appearance. The study of the different passages is mainly devoted to the treatment of the characters and the question of the sources in books I to VI.
