With the increase in societal and environmental awareness around the globe, organizations are increasingly trying to adopt such practices which enhance the ‘root cause' of overall operational execution, one of which is the favorable cooperative behavior of its employees. In this study, we try to scrutinize a hot debate regarding the importance and implementation of CSR in the objectives of a firm. This research addresses the question; does a company really need to incorporate CSR in their maneuvers or does it really have a deepening effect on employees' citizenship behavior? Here, we try to analyze the impact of the socially responsible activities of the firm (analyzing employee perception of the four dimensions of CSR: legal, ethical, discretionary and economical) on the organizational citizenship behavior of employees (studying the four dimensions of OCB: altruism, civic virtue, sportsmanship and compliance) with the mediating effect of organization identification.
