**Research on animals is a separate training, mandatory for PhD students who work with animals.

Module 4: What we can do against misconduct (4h)
1. Do management practices have an influence on misconduct?
2. Standards for good research
3. The use of the MEER tool-box
Afternoon coached work groups: Choose one of three (3h)
1. You are the head of a team and you realize that people in your lab talk about bad behavior at the bench and even about scientific misconduct. How do you react? What actions do you take? What would you like your university to do to help you?
2. You have set up and implemented an "Integrity and Quality in Research Policy" in your lab. Imagine what this policy is about. How do you implement it? How can your University help you implement it?
3. Since your "Integrity and Quality in Research Policy" works well and the members of your lab are proud of what was achieved, you and your University want to make this fact known. Develop a communication plan. To whom shall you communicate? What is the aim of your communication? How do you proceed?

The trainer will use examples of the participants' disciplines. This syllabus will include both lectures and case studies.
