The doctoral program AIDoc@AMU is part of a proactive initiative of Aix-Marseille University (AMU) and its partners aiming to develop ArtificiaI Intelligence (AI) in its two aspects, both in fundamental and applied research dealing with the strategic axis of health.

In addition to the development of fundamental AI at AMU, AIDoc@AMU aims to strengthen the inter-disciplinary relationship between Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics and Health, to foster the incoming mobility of national and international students, and to promote the applicability and transfer of the obtained results to the socio-economic world.

The program is co-funded by the “Agence Nationale de la Recherche” and by 4 AMU newly created Institutes (Archimède, Physics of the Universe, Cancer & Immunology, Marseille Imaging) through A*MIDEX foundation.

The purpose of this call for applications is to attract talented early stage researchers by offering them a doctoral training program of excellence in AI and its applications.

The timeframe of the call for applications on the thesis project and of the process of selection and audition of candidates is as follows:

  • 31 March : Opening date of the call for applications,
  • 1 June at 23:59 (CEST) : Closing date of the call for applications.

Selected candidates will be invited for an interview mid-June.
